We're all in it together, worldwide

I remember when I first came to OH. I was fat and hopeless. I read endlessly - good and bad. I researched, posted, asked stupid questions and got ready for the biggest change of my life. I always promised myself that when (not IF) I lost the weight, I'd post here and on my blog to give back.

Almost three years later, I've lost half of myself. Life took over and I started living the life I always wanted. That led to less and less posting on OH.

Lately I've been slipping and being a naughty bandster. Of course I am dragging my butt back here before I gain any weight.

I started posting on my blog again and the e-mails started coming again. From the USA, Australia, Japan, India... you name it. All people like us... no matter where... suffering from the torture of obesity.

It moves me so much to hear from people all across the world because it puts our struggle into perspective. We are all in this together - big or small, young and old, high and low, and all across the globe.

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.

So good to see you basck sweetie, you are such an inspiration to so many. As your blog proves this is an international problem not just here. Obesity is an equal opportunity disease!

It really is amazing that we all struggle with obesity, and yet we all think we're all alone. (at least that's how it feels sometimes). I hope you will be out of your slump soon.
