Missing You Like Candy...

I miss bread.  Warm yeast rolls, thick garlic toast.  After surgery I could still toast a slice of bread & make a half sandwich.  After my last fill (I have had 6 fills, up to 7cc in an 11cc band) I can no longer tolerate bread.  But that's okay.  More room for protein :)   and sometimes just smelling it is good enough to satisfy my senses.

Ohhhh where do I begin???

BREAD first and foremost...   any kind of bread.  I still have toast in the mornings, but its ONE slice of very thin bread, toasted to hell...

Pasta - I used to love fettucine alfredo, and baked ziti.  The noodles are too big for me now.  I do sometimes enjoy about 1/4 cup angel hair with pesto sauce

Rice - both fried and steamed

BIG fat cheeseburgers - I can have burgers, no bun.  But its not the same of course

chili cheese french fries

French Toast

Bicsuits and Gravy

Pancakes

and most of all PIZZA!!!!!!!!!   I still eat pizza, but now its always thin crust, which is fine, but its nothing like sinking your teeth into a Chicago style deep dish that is so thick, you have to eat it with a fork.

I think that covers is.

NO wonder I was 330 lbs. LOL

FYI - we had a bonfire a few weeks ago at a friend's house and I split a s'more with my stepson. I took tiny bites and had NO problem at all! It was delicious!!!!
You can't go back and make a brand new start, but you can start from now and make a brand new end.

I honestly don't really miss any food. If I want it, I eat it. But I do it sparingly.

What I miss is being able to INHALE my food. Like when I see a big plate of pasta and I just want to inhale it. I can't. I have to take it slow (and with pasta, I can't really do much more than a few noodles anyway).

I have only had one fill so far and can still eat pretty much anything...except muffins. Anything fatty I only have a few bites. I never was a soda drinker but for some odd reason I miss it and want it LOL I have had a few little sips of my sons since surgery and wow it was good! As I have more fills Im sure I will be able to eat less and less!

I miss eating with abandon in public. At home, I don't mind slow, chew, portion control. In a restaurant or at work, a little too fast or too big a bite and I have to find a bathroom. It doesn't happen often, but I worry every time. I worry less with friends who know I have the band than events with lots of people. BUT, in the end I am always grateful for my friend who knows when to stop eating because I never did.
