I've gained back 24 lbs....
I gained too, Tiff - you are not alone! From last summer until about a month ago, I pretty much ate whatever I wanted. And I gained 15 pounds!!! Last month I dragged my butt back to the dr. and got a much-needed fill. I am now in the process of losing the weight that I regained, so that I can get back on track.
This is the beauty of having an adjustable band, in my opinion. We are going to be dealing with our weight for the rest of our lives, and we can start over anytime we need to. Like Elena said in another thread.... we're all in this together. Good luck!

Hey Tiff,
It sure isn't easy admitting to things, is it?? I am in your boat. My band slipped downward and I had to have repair surgery. My doctor took out fluid in October 2010 hoping to correct the band, but it did not work. I had repair surgery on 1/21/11. In that time and up until now I've gained 45 lbs. I've had 2 fills and the 2nd one has finally allowed me to manage my current weight, but I still have not lost anything.
You have to keep the faith - you cannot let your 1st surgery, your mishaps, your choices, etc. make you a failure. You are only a failure if you don't try. I have to tell myself that every day. My friends are amazed that I work out 2x a day 4-5 times a week and haven't lost a single lb. People think we WLS patients are lazy and taking the easy way out, but we are very strong people and survivors and we work harder than many "dieters."
I have read many times that due to WLS and restriction that we will never be able to lose weight and/or maintain weight until we get back to lower calories or whatever amount of calories that allowed us to lose weight in the first place. Unfortunately, WLS does slow down the metabolism and thus we will have to restrict the calories in order to achieve our goals.
For me, it doesn't matter how "healthy" I eat. If I'm eating too much or too little, I will not lose weight. I gained 45 lbs by eating healthy and trying to be low-carb. It came down to not exercising enough and eating too much. Everyone is different. We are not a group study, we are individuals and 1200 calories may respond well to you, but not for me.
Good luck and I hope things get better for you and I!

throw in thyroid disease, Poly cystic, lymphomas, injuries or any of the other 1000 things we deal with daily and I'm surprised any of us are able to wake up smiling.
it's true. We are a determined bunch. We are strong and we are fighters. We can not fail- our lives depend on it.
