count down to surgery

My Dr has you do a 10 day liquid diet before surgery.  SO I am starting mine tomorrow. I think I am ready for the journey. I have bought different protien drinks, surgar free drinks, Jello and broths. I have filled the medicine and vitimans that he required.

I took pictures and took measurments, so I can see my progress.  I bought me a book to track my food intake, and excerise.

But I have had a crazy thought, like so many of you on here, I have tried so many diets I have lost count. With some I gained weight, or couldnt make it a life time change. The thoughts I keep having with this are not that I will fail but that this sounds to good to be true.

Wish me luck, I want to be a sucess story like so many of you.

You're on the right track and you will do great.

Just remember that you're running a marathon not sprinting to the finish.

Have a healthy and quick recovery.

Just remember everyone is different. Take things slow and follow the rules.

When I discussed this with my PCP, and got his blesing, he made a comment that puzzled me at the time.  Knowing I was hoping for a Jan. surgery, he told me he thought I'd begin to really be happy with my choice beginning to mid summer.  My thoughts were,  it won't take THAT long.  I can see now what he meant.  Though I am losing cause I'm doing the lapband work with food choices and exercise, it does take a little more time than I thought it would, to see a significant difference.  I've lost about 30 lbs.  I've lost and regained that much before.  By mid June to mid July, I'm hoping to be healthier and to have lost about 50 lbs. or more.  Now that's significant.  So be patient.  To me it's more about moderation than deprivation.  And that works for me.
