I had my lapband surgery on Wednesday. Things are going well so far...just lots of ...ahem...gas. I know this will work itself out soon. I have a question I was hoping someone could help me with. I am scheduled for a lunch meeting next Friday. I will be on mushies by then. The meal is at an Italian restaurant. What do you think I can order? I plan on eating just a tiny bit, and chew it really well. They do have salmon and tuna. They also have soup. What should I order? Thanks!

I would absolutely plan on having a bowl of soup for lunch.
Actually, I would probably eat something before I went -- and then order soup, and if there are tiny meatballs in the soup, I would try one.
I would stay away from pasta --- if it is in the soup, just don't eat it.
Really, the last thing you want to do is to have something not agree with you while you are at a restaurant -- you will have many, many opportunities to eat out in the coming months.
