I do not have Medicare but I would call them directly and ask . Each state may be different . Is there a number on the back of your card ? Also your surgeon's office should be able to answer or find out for you ! Better to be sure than go thru all the steps and miss something .:)

Hi Shelley...I had my surgery last year with medicare/medadvantage through Regence Blue Shield.
The co-morbidities only apply for a BMI of between 35-39.99 and there need to be two; diabetes, sleep apnea, hbp, GERD, osteoarthritis, are some.  If your BMI is 40 or above, no co-morbidities are needed.  Your surgeon's office is the best source of information relating to your specific situation.
Good luck to you!
Steph
