I have the article posted on my blog to remind me (and anyone who stops by) how my band is supposed to work...it is great advice and gives good perspective on compliance and how important it is.

Im like Jodi, I restrict the foods I eat I dont allow the band to do that for me . I will never ever have my band to the point that I cant eat this or that , that isnt why I got the band to restrict me from foods.

I havent  had a fill yet since my surgery so my band is empty . I go around 4-5 hrs of not being hungry on a cup of food sometimes a cup and half it depends on what Im eating for that meal.

I have a bad habit of skpping meals , like yesterday I ate at 1 pm and that was the only thing I ate all day till I finally realized at 10 pm I hadnt eaten but 400 calories all day *sigh*.  I really need to work on that big time

My restriction varies day to day and during the day- I can eat more at dinner than breakfast or lunch.  ... I also have to catch myself from grazing... I'll eat until I'm content at the table- wait a few minutes start cleaning the kitchen and there I am shoving more in my mouth as the feeling subsides.

I go to my dr this afternoon and I am torn about if I need anything or not.  Most meals my portions are 1 cup or less- but I'm getting a little hungry a little too soon after meals.   I've had my band since oct 09 and i've only thrown up one time- and everything that came up was stuck above my band --- sushi rice as the first meal of the day- what was I thinking?  And out with my mom, grandmother and cousin so I'm taking and not paying any attention- it was bad.

I'm getting so used to serving myself smaller portions, I have even started shrinking my DH's portions cause it just looks weird to me to fill a big plate.

I have never had the physical feeling of being full like before the band.  My new full is being satisfied for 4+ hours after eating 3oz of meat and a 1/4-1/2c of a veggie.  I have no idea how much I could eat and I don't want an enlarged esophagus or upper pouch, so I have always weighed out my meat and I can eyeball my veggies or fruit.  I eat way more than 5-8 bites.  I cut my meat up into little eraser sized pieces.

I do have to have a fresh salsa or sauce with my meat.  I have had 4 stucks in 21 months and it was always on too dry of food.
