Option #1 - FiberPlus Cereal
Option #2 - FiberOne Cereal

FiberOne has more fiber, but it comes at the cost of a few more calories and WAY more sodium.

I know we need our fiber, but is it worth making the jump to the other cereal?

Thanks!

I wouldn't .. who needs more sodium... a few calories you can burn easily (30 to 80)

If I want cereal I do steelcut oatmeal.

Bob's Red Mill Oatmeal, 1/4 cup dry (before cooking.. makes 1 cup cooked) is 170 calories, 7 grams protein.  Don't know about the fiber.  It's whole grain so I'm sure it has some.

I have this at home and I still haven't made it.. I need to stop being lazy on the weekends and make it.

I do on occasion eat Kashi cereal... it has as much protein as an egg LOL I'm sure you heard the commerical..

Yeah, I have some Ka****oo.  I put a little (2 T) in my greek yogurt sometimes.. mainly for the crunch factor.

Do you know the overnight oatmeal trick?

Put 1/4 cup dry oatmeal in a bowl, add 1 cup water.

Place bowl inside crockpot.  Turn on low.  Go to bed.  In Morning oatmeal is done.

Can also be done in the oven overnight, but last time I tried that, I didn't use a big enough container and there was oatmeal mess to clean up.  yuck.

What a great idea...I can set this up the same time I set up my coffee maker.

Works for steelcut oatmeal.   I have no idea on how other types (rolled, etc.) would work.

I like Nutritious Living Hi/Lo Protein Cereal.  It is sooooo good, has the consitency of Raisin Bran and comes in 3 flavors: Vanilla Almond, Maple Pecan & Original.  It has only 90 calories, 2g fat, 12g protein & 7g fiber per serving.  You can't beat it! :)
