Are you ashamed?

I am not ashamed at all. If someone comments my weight loss I say thank you. If they ask how i say I changed the way I eat, I exercise and I have the Lap Band. They can think or say whatever they want I don't care!

Hell no. I told everyone from the get-go, and I really didn't give a rat's patoot what anyone's reaction might be. Only my husband and I get a vote on anything in my life (and sometimes HE doesn't get one, either!)

And at my age, very little shames me. In fact, I'm so unashamed of things that I've posed nude for an art class three times in the past year.

Banded 10 years & maintaining my weight loss!! Any questions, message me.

You are 100% right. But I think your friend had a bad case of envy and wanted to make you feel bad about yourself. Her saying to you that you should be ashamed was just her way of telling you she doesn't agree with your decision. But guess what? That's too darn bad!!! She obviously have issues of her own. Like my mother always told me, "Hurt people.....hurt people!"
