I will probably have to fight my insurance i am sure. I have a bmi of 43.9 which is above the requirment for humana but i don't have anything else wrong with me really. TRouble breathing, but duh im fat, and a knee that acts up and no one knows whats worng with it.

And i don't have a pcp, i have a PPO and it doesn't require that i have a primary so i don't know how that will work. I am just now starting to look around i am sure i have information overload ahead of me :P

Dr. David Geller. He is thru Nortons Weight Management Center. it is located out Dutchmans Lane. I also have PPO, but we have to have a pcp. Do you have a dr. you goto when you get sick?? It will be alright. A friend of mine refered me to Dr. Geller.

I have had insurance for three and a half years. When i first got it i went to a doctor in fern creek to get help with my weight problem and was going to use her as a primary. In a nut shell she just kept telling me i was depressed and needed anti depressant. Yeah i was a little down because i was gaining weight for no reason, but other than that i have a happy healthly life. I usually don't go to the doctor when i get sick, all i ever really get is cold,flu or sinus. Not much they will do for those anyway. I have just gotten to the point were i can't stand not being able to do certain things with my children and thats what has brought me to this point. I have tried for years to lose weight and have come to the conclusion i need help, not anti depressants, real help.

Sorry that turned into a rant. :D

I did go to my husbands doctor a few months ago for help to stop smoking (which i have). Other than that i have no regualr doctor except an OB.

 Your not ranting. This site is for you to talk about how you feel and any questions you might have. I have learned alot on OH. I know some of those dr. can be just freaking krazzy sometimes. I do think you need a dr, so you can do the 6 month supervised diet. Congrats on you stop smoking.
