What I'm Eating this Sunday
Hi all! Didn't see this post for the last couple of days so wanted to keep it up in her absence since I also post on the main forum. :) I went to see Arthur with my son-shine today and it was pretty darn funny (although I am partial to the original for sure!).

Oh man, sorry about the sandwich...grrrrrr. I have pretty much ousted bread due to it being so "iffy" on a day-to-day basis for me. Now I don't miss it at all after nearly 2 years. But I have since found a new love for Joseph's Lavash Wraps & Flatout Wraps. I brush them with EVOO, bake them in the oven until crisp and use them as chips with homemade dip or as a pizza crust with yummy toppings. Satisfies my cravings for sure!! :)
That sounds delish, Lisa. This was my first time to get stuck on bread. Thought I could eat about anything as long as I took small bites and chewed really well. Love the idea of the wraps! And I need to try some ricotta cheese too. I've just been banded since mid Jan., and I am learning so much on this site. Really love the what are we eating today for fresh ideas.
Have you checked out Shelly's aka "Eggface" bariatric food blog? Seriously, 75% of what I cook is from her site and my family loves them! Hundreds upon hundreds of recipes. Here is the link and scroll about halfway down this particular page for the Ricotta Bake recipe. I eat it constantly! YOu can also use the search feature to see what to make with (XYZ) items. If you type in things like "sausage" or "mozarella" or whatever, tons of recipes pop up with that ingredient. Good way to use what you have in the fridge that day. :) theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/08/pureed-foods .html
I'll join in, this is a great thread to see how others are eating and of course to keep myself accountable and learning every day!
B: 2 scrambled eggs w/ 1/4 cup sauteed mushrooms (this was my first day without a protein shake to start the morning. Felt odd!
S: Caribbean Cooler Nectar. Not bad, my first time trying it. Needed the protein since no protein shake in the morning. Does this also count as water intake??????
L: 3 ounces prepackaged foil tuna, 2 laughing cow cheese wedges
D: 3 ounces turkey meatballs, TBSP of Ricotta cheese with marinara sauce on top - Hey we had the same dinner!!!
S: Chobani pomegranate yogurt with 1/4 cup of frozen mixed berries.

Great minds think alike (mmmmm, meatballs)! Also, I know what you mean about missing your morning shake and it feeling odd. If you post on this thread daily, you will see my sick obsession with my morning protein shakes. LOL I still have one every morning (even thought I am almost 2 years out) to set the tone for a day's worth of healthy eating and good food choices...also the extra protein satiates me so I am not ravenous all day. TOTALLY works for me. On days I don't have it (which is only twice in over a year lol), my whole life is skewed. Haahhaaa okay its not THAT serious, but close! :) Good eats today, BTW!
