thanks so much for doing this post. I had my first fill (0.5cc) last week and I think its working a touch. I have 4.5cc in my 10cc band. I still can eat what ever... including the rubber shoe! I am really trying to stick to 1 c per meal, but find I need more. before the fill I was hungry all the time. Im still hungry but not as ravenous and I can make it 3 hours before I get to that point, pior to the fill i could hardly make 2 hours... and I was looking and planning and dying to eat anything... i know from the past week that when i get to my sweet spot I will do fine.

I still am not making the perfect food choices all the time... but I am very aware of what I am eating and that is huge for me.

To add to frustration... I paid alot of money for this band... I so badly want to see results... not only for me but for my boyfriend ( who is skeptical) and all the others who are supportive. They didn't understand this thing to begin, not their doubt is becoming errosive to my moxy....

How often do u see your surgeon. I had my surgery in dec.2010///I have to go once a month for a year.  I have a 10cc band and had 1 fill at 1cc and next time nothing and then .75cc. I was so pissed at the doctor for putting in so little cause I felt that I could eat a horse..but I don't I have kept a notebook charting my daily food intake since I started this journey and up to this week always measure out my foods. Sometimes I can eyeball depending what it it.  I have to say I can't do to many carbs or eat fast food that often. As soon as I do I stall my weight loss or have a gain.. Which I did last week. I was happy to see the scale finally go down a few lbs. and then I went and had too much and too many times of the above and gained what I lost plus. I gain very fast so I have to really follow the doctors orders with 3 meals a day on a 9 in. plate or I will not lose. You really have to get moving in this direction or the band isn't going to work. Believe me I get very frustrated cause I work hard at this and sometimes don't see the results I believe I should have. but I love my band and will work till I get to goal...Good Luck!

I. Was banded 3/14, today is 8/14. I am 5 mo post op. And i have not lost any weight in 3 months. The only time I truly lost was on protein shakes before surgery and 1 month post op. I have 6cc in a 14 cc band and feel no restrictions. I too feel like this surgery was a waste of time and money. My doc says, Your right on track, a few more fulls and you will loose. I started my journey at 228 and i am currently 207. So your not alone.
