I just had another fill and FINALLY think I might be close to my sweet spot.  ( after ohhhhh about 4 fills now).  I am back to eating semi-solids after my fill the other day and noticed that  after about 6 bites I started salivating.  it wasn't sliming, this was different.   Is this a soft stop sign or something? anyone else have it.  I kept eating past it and All I know is I pushed it too far and after eating half of a soft taco I was over full and prayed to PB a little . lol.   Anyone else salivate when they are getting full?  This is new to me.

Congratulations!  it's such a relief when you really start feeling restriction.

Extra salivating & hiccups are my soft-stop signs once I hit my sweet-spot.  When it comes to soft taco's, I can usually only eat half now.  Hard taco shells I can sometimes eat a little more - so I think it is the tortilla that fills me up more.  Mainly - I mostly just eat the meat & veggies that I'd be putting in the taco's at this point.  Funny, cuz before WLS taco's were my down fall.  OMG but I lovvvvvveedddd tacos (we're having them for dinner tonight as a matter of fact).  I'm over a year out, but I still over-estimate what I can eat when it comes to taco's.  I have to use a small plate just to remind myself so I am not wasteful taking food I cannot eat.

Anyhow, back to your question (head-hunger i****ting me hard today).  Yes.  Salivating can be a soft-stop.  I recommend you stop at that point.  If, 20 min later you are physically hunger, try taking a few more bites of protein (rather than the tortilla).  Once a lot of people hit restriction, things like tortilla's, flat bread, bread, rice - they don't go down so well anymore.  You don't want to take up any extra room in your new banded little tummy that could be used up for protein.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the response.. good to know.  I do love tacos.. and before this last fill I could eat more.  I hope this fill does it for me.  I don't mind giving up things to lose this weight.

I do this too.  Sometimes it is a soft stop warning, but I have done it after one bite, if the bite was too big.  It's like a warning to slow down and follow the rules, lol.
