It seems like if it was a leak you'd be missing more than 1.5 cc's.  I have had inconsistencies when they pull out the fluid to measure and was told that there is no way to get all of the liquid out of the band because of air bubbles, position, etc.

Hopefully you don't have a leak!
Best~

When I had a port leak my band would always leak down to about 5cc. I wondered why it didn't leak completely out and my Dr said it is most likely the amount where there is not enough pressure in the enclosed system to squeeze out the remaining fill. When the band is fuller the pressure is higher on the closed system. Hope that makes sense.

I had my port replaced 3 months ago and I have lost 30lbs since then. I am so happy I replaced the port. I am pretty sure my leak was caused from a bad fill also. I am self pay and it was a big financial decision to replace my port.

If it turns out to be a leak.. don't do what I did. I stuck my head in the sand for almost 2 years and regained almost 60 of the 100 pounds I lost. I also wasted 2 years.

I hope it is just a fluke and your band is not leaking... but what you are describing is exactly how I felt. I would feel restriction the night of the fill and by the next day I would feel wide open. It is not the end of the world... but it is definitely a set back.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away. Sorry you are going through this right now. i know how it feels.

I had gained 20 pounds and clothes getting tight so went for a fill.  There was NO fluid in my band. I  NEVER even thought of a leak. Having a fluroscopy w/ dye  tomorrow to determine for sure. worried about more surgery.one else with leakage issues?

It might not be a leak... don't worry too much until they definitely confirm something. I had 15+ fills and I felt less restriction after some than others... it's kind of strange.

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.
