children..update

Thanks again for all *****sponded to me about sharing wls with your children.  I spoke to my daughter and showed her a short video that described the process.  She was so happy for me!!  She said..when can we go on a shopping spree for you!  Thanks again for alll the responses and input.

PS despite the lucky day that 5/12 is for so many, my surgery date was changed to 5/19.  One week later but I've waited this long..!

Glad she took it so well ! Sorry about them setting your surgery back a week but hang in there and keep your eye on the prize :)

The first day I went in for a consult, there was a Mom in the waiting room with her child who looked to be about 8 or 9.  I heard her explaining to the boy about why they were there, and what she was going to have done in very simple terms that a child can understand.  The little boy asked her with big wide eyes..."After this, when I hug you will I be able to really HUG you...like get my arms all the way around you?"  He was just amazed at the thought of being able to squeeze her tight!  I thought it was soooo sweet!

Awwwwwwwwwwwww, that melts my heart!  Kids are so honest!
