How long did you have to stay on this blenderized food stage? I am having a hard time with it. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I need help!!!

The only thing I blended was soup the first week post op...by the second week I could add some crumbled ground turkey to my soups to up the protein...I survived on sf pudding, fudgcicles, strained and blended soups and soft boiled eggs the first two weeks, then started adding "real" food very cautiously...

I actually thought blenderized/puree foods weren't all that bad. I just took whatever I wanted: salmon, for example. I baked it with whatever spices I wanted, then plopped it in the blender with a little chicken broth and whirred it until it was pureed. Same thing with veggies and fruit (but with juice instead of broth.)

Keep in mind that yogurt, soup, eggs, and cheese are all considered soft foods. All doctors are different, but I'm allowed to have these things during the puree/soft food stage. I'd rather have beef or chicken, but at least there is more of a variety to choose from during this stage. If you got through the liquid diet, you can get through this!
