As you know, I am still having regurguation issues, and it seems to be getting bad lately and I am seeing my surgeon on Weds to look over my appeal papers and possibly ask for a small unfill.

I had pork chop last week, and I chewed well, small bites, and it came back up and it felt like this for a couple hours and then when I went to bed, my throat felt gross, like heartburn, feels like food is still stuck in my throat but I know I wasn't stuck anymore....

and now last saturday I had half a bean burrito .. ate mostly filling of beans.. and I had the same issue, coming back up and then same feeling in throat.. ugh.

So this hs happened twice with "heartburn" like signs...

I am just sick of all this.

Could this be a beginning of a slip?

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

Probably it is either you are too tight or that those foods are just not gonna work for you. Also pork does not work well for alot of ppl it is drier and denser so that is probably what happened with that. The bean burrito it could have been the little bit or tortilla you did eat got stuck. Remember our bands are very fickle . I can eat somethings one day and not the next it all depends on fluid intake, time of day and PMS and all sorts of variables. I would not worry about a slip just yet .

I had problems with a pork chop yesterday...just did not work out!  I have had no problems with pork before....just one of those things I guess.

Hope you can get this figured out with your doc. I had the same problem so finally just emptied my band last week. Man it feels so good to be able to eat real food again. I can't get a revision, no coverage with my insurance. I decided I'd rather stay fat and happy than fat and miserable. The doc that emptied me said 20% of bandsters just can't tolerate the restriction at any level. I hope you can get the revsion going soon! Good luck!!!

Gosh Cheryl,
I'm sorry you are having a rough time.  Maybe give a little unfill a try and see if it helps.  Please keep us updated.  My fingers are crossed for you. I hope things get easier for you!

Hugs,
Kristi
