Hello All,
I have a size 14 band which was filled to 12 cc's recently. I'm happy to say that I lost 12 lbs in week but I can't hardly keep anything down. I can barely have one egg, a cup of fluids and I'm throwing up most of my meals. I haven't gotten the "take two bites and stop" thing down pack but I'm a bit better at it nowadays. I'm not sure if I'm too tight or if I'm just being a whiner that needs to stay here and follow stricter rules to reach my goal.
What do you think???

Well it could if you are taking tiny bites(the size of a pencil eraser). chewing until liquid and swallowing one bite before shoving another one in, then you are probaly too tight. Vomiting is never a good thing with the band, it can damage not only your band but your stomach too. Certainly you shouldn't be vomiting on a daily basis. You may need a small unfill. Don't let it go on too long or it can cause serious damage.

First of all, eggs are difficult for many bandsters and so that may not be a good "test". But if you are eating carefully and throwing up most meals, you are too tight.

In the long term being too tight not only puts the band at risk of a slip but it doesn't speed weight loss. Obviously if you eat almost nothing you will lose at first but as your body gets used to it, that will slow. And being too tight tends to push people towards slider  foods which are often higher cal.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

The key phrase to me is "throwing up most of my meals".

Too tight.  Call for a slight unfill.  They don't have to remove all of your last fill, just part of it will do the trick.

That would be way toooooo tight for ME.  I've only vomited 4x's in 21 months and never PB'd.
And 12 pounds in a week, sounds like you could be dehydrated.  You need to call your surgeon.

I was too tight last month and had been that way about a month and your wt loss will slow or stop if you continue to be too tight b/c you will eat slider foods more often and you will not get enough calories and your body will panic and hold onto everything. My Dr took a little out and things are great now.:) I would give your Dr a call and ask his opinion.

If you lost 12 lbs in one week...you are too tight and becoming dehydrated.

12x3500 calories = 42000 calories < than you burn to lose 12 lbs in one week....
