Late April in the UK is often really nice! But since about the 25th March this year, we  have been having  crazy weather (with a few cooler, duller days in the middle). Yesterday I got sunburned in the garden, brilliant sunshine and temps of well over 70F.  I have had to star****ering the pots in the garden!!!

This is not British!!!!! The average temp for this time of year is about 60F. And this has not just been one day! It just keeps on!

Hi Kate - I live in New Jersey, and we enjoy all four seasons.  However, the way we enjoy it is odd.  Two weeks ago we had snow, and they are forcasting temps in the 80's on Monday!  It's as though we get only 2 weeks to enjoy spring (lots of rain) and then hot, humid, sticky summer.  The same with fall - it cools down from the heat for about 2 weeks, and then we are freezing!  My son is planning on attending college in San Diego, California - where it is a beautiful, sunny 75 degrees all year.  Or at least that is what he thinks!

Aside from the taxes, we like New Jersey.  We are within 2 hours of mountains or seashore, we are not normally in danger of tornadoes, earthquakes, or avalanches.  We get the occasional hurricane, but for the most part, its just a lot of wind and rain.

I think the crazy weather is just Mother Nature messing with us!

We've had snow, sleet, rain, hail, thunder, lightning and sunshine...temps from the high 20's to low 60's....I just wish the sun would stay more than one day...gotta get the garden planted!

I live in Arkansas, and it was 88 here yeaterday, and probably will be here today also.   Rather warm for the ball games I'm going to go to.   The saying around here is "IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WEATHER HERE TODAY, STICK AROUND TILL TOMORROW.   IT'LL CHANGE."

Maybe it's providential intervention, so warm you folks up for a beautifully warm spring wedding on April 29.  :)

Yes! i am neither pro- nor anti-royalty but one thing we do well over here is traditional ceremonies like Royal weddings! So a nice day woudl be good!

Kate Middleton is literally a local girl for me. I don't in anyway know her but she is local in the true sense - not just someone who lives in mansion insulated from the real world! She was brought up as a young child  in a very small house about 3 miles from where I live, is known in the local pub and village shop. To such an extent that the shopkeeper and the pub landlord are invited wedding guests! I have met her mother when I went to their business and it just happened she was in that day and answered my questions for me (a few years ago, before there was nay hint of a roayl connection!).

Her parents made themselves into the wealthy people they are now and so Kate went in the end to a vey expensive private school. But her origins really are "ordinary".

Well it is quite obvious you have stolen my weather because all we're getting is rain and clouds. Please return the sun immediately, thank you!
