I agree with Steph I never depend on protein drinks for a meal or protein. My surgeon said it's better eat solid protein than to drink it...it makes you feel fuller longer. I thought about that and it's makes sense to me.
Sometimes you have to drink protein because of a stuck episode or like in December I was sick with a bad case of strep and I couldn't swallow food because it hurt too much. So I lived off of protein drinks and low carb ice cream bars for 5 days...

You don't mention drinking water in your post. Are you drinking at least 64 oz a day? As difficult as that can be (it's not for me because I sit at a desk all day and always have a glass of Crystal Light in front of me), it is absolutely imperative to drink your water - it really DOES make a huge difference!
