just not going down :(
This is my 3rd week started on normal foods and for a week now i havent lost anything, I been drinking my protine drinks in the AM, lunch few peiaces of lunch meet or a cheese stick, for dinner im eating a lean cusine. and after dinner I go on my treadmill!! So please someone tell me what am I doing wrong? Will it get better after I get my fill?
Nothing wrong at all! We don't lose consistently. You will find that it is common to lose, say, 2lbs one week and 4lbs the next, then nothing the next! You may already have lost quite a lot post-op and your body is adjusting.
In fact, it reads to me as if you are not eating enough for health! You may also find that protein shakes make it harder not easier as our bands are designed to work with solid protein (to keep us feeling full longer). We all eat the way which suits us but most bandsters only use protein shakes if for some reason they are unable to eat breakfast because they are tight in the mornings or if they cannot get their protein in naturally.
Fills don't make you lose weight, they just help you to feel full for longer.

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
We won't talk about to today because I got it very wrong!! But here is typical day for me when i was still in the losing phase. There is also a thread every day about what people are eating.
B (I am tight in the morning and can't eat) - very large skinny latte
mid-morning - one of handful of raw almonds/banana/yoghourt
L - 1/2 baked potato with grated hard cheese/ crackers and low fat spread
Snack - yoghourt/nuts/fruit
D - 3oz fish/meat, carrot, 2 small potatoes
S - yoghourt, seeds, nuts, fruit.
On a very hungry day, I upgrade my snacks and make them small emasl - for example, fishj sticks. I also often have a second skinny latte!
I am not a counter or measurer! But it was always about 1200 cals a day.

Sometimes your weight will stall, but you are losing inches. Then suddenly one day POOF you get on the scale and you've dropped a butt load of weight. It's during times like this that it helps if you keep track of your measurements.
I agree with Kate you aren't eating enough solid protein. Instead of just a slices of lunch meat, add some cottage cheese to your lunch..... for dinner I know a lot of people eat those frozen Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine meals, but they aren't the best thing for people trying to lose weight. They are horribly high in sodium and carbs. If you are cooking for yourself only (I live by myself) it's easy to fall into the frozen dinner routine. But trust me it will be better if you make your self a meal. What I do is go to the store buy packages of beef, steak, chicken...whatever meat you want. Then I go home a freeze them in individual servings in freezer bags. So last night I grabbed steak. I put it in the fridge and this morning I put it in marinade (watch the marinades they can have lots of sodium too). Tonight when I come home I will broil the little steak and heat up some green beans. I'm done cooking in 10-15 minute...I'm not kidding. You can do crock-pot cooking and that's done when I walk in the door. It just takes a little planning. I also have a mid afternoon snack of 3-4 apple slices with a teaspoon of peanut butter.
I also noticed you work out. When I plateau I don't really mess around with my food intake. What I do is change up my workout. Go little faster on the treadmill or increase your incline. Or start interval training (that's what I am doing) and every time I bust right through my plateau. Also add in some weight training.
Good luck

We marinade a lot at our house too, but we make our own to avoid the added salt:
Chicken-lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, garlic and pepper (if we are going mexican we sub lime juice for the lemon and add cilantro instead of oregano) We use boneless/skinless thighs.
Beef-olive oil, garlic, pepper and basalmic vinegar; the vinegar is a tenderizer and adds so much flavor. You can do this with sirloins, flatiron, etc and it comes out very tender and flavorful.
Pork-olive oil, garlic, pepper, orange juice...yummy! We use pork tenderloin and thin slice very thin...serve with veggies and quinoa and you have a fabulous meal!
We bag it up in zip lock the day before and let it take in all the flavor! Baste with the remaining marinade...it is also very tenderizing.

The food choices you mention, lunch meat, cheese, lean cuisine are all loaded with salt and can cause you to carry extra water weight...2, 3 or even 4 lb. Time to start cooking...lol.
Also, don't know your surgery date, but if you are less than 6 weeks out, you are still healing from surgery and should be focused on developing a healthy food and exercise plan rather than losing.
My doctor did not allow liquid meals at all after I was on all solid foods (3 weeks out) unless I was recovering from a stuck episode or just had a fill...I haven't had a protein drink in 9 months.
Try looking for some lower sodium foods to eat...the new recommendation for sodium intake is just 1500 mg per day (used to be 2200).
Good luck to you!
