Is this Normal? IDK what to do?

 Hi everyone,
 
i am 15 yrs old and was banded on the 15th of feb.. since then i have had irregular periods.. i got my period like a week later and it wasnt regular.. then i got it 2 days late from when i was supposed to get it and it was just a brown period.. now as of sunday, i was due for my period still didnt get it.. im definitely 100% sure that i am not pregnant because me and my boyfriend r not sexually active.. is this normal when u have the lap band??

You just posted this yesterday...slightly different facts though...so is it the 15th of Feb or the 15th of March? Perhaps you would like to clarify for us. Also your doctor doesn't do surgery on those younger than 17 per his page.

I had my surgery 15th in feb and got my period one week later but it was only a brown period.. last month i got it only brown very light for like 2 days.. now today i was due for my period but didnt get it yet.. is this normal to happen after lap band?

 meant to say of feb.. and yes my doc did it for me because i had help problems so he did it for me under 17 yrs old.

My period was out of wack for awhile after surgery :)  It will level out :)

Hi - Anytime your body goes through a "trauma", it can affect your period.  I was so stressed out about the surgery, I had mine early, while I was having the surgery!  Of course, since it wasn't due for another week, I was not prepared and very embarassed in the recovery room when the MALE nurse had to help me out!  He was a sweetheart about it, though.  When I got it this month, it was shorter, but heavier. 

It may take your body a few months to get back on track.  Relax and don't worry!
