The importance of SUPPORT & Smelling the Roses ..a must READ

I met two of the most amazing women on this site and we now facebook more than we OH sadly but true... they have become "real" friends tho we have never met. We support each other daily with our "plan" for the day and we even admit our struggles with each other ... it isn't easy people it really does take a village... Below I'm copying and pasting a message I wrote to them TODAY...

The truth is we over ate and abused our bodies for years and it does take time and we all want instant gratification for our hardwork .. your right Pam but we are in it for the long haul and to be honest I love that I could keep the weight off.... aside from my losing my dad and my weight gain the rest of the year I kept my WEIGHT OFF I have never never never been able to do that.. as soon as I got off the cabbage soup diet, the antipucture/low carb diet, jenny craig twice, weigh****chers several times... diets I would gain the weight I lost PLUS more. I know we need to make daily improvements with ourselves.. each day challenge ourselves to make good choices, make it to the gym, drink our water but we also need to SMELL the roses... Pam when was the last time you were a size 14? Jac when was the last time you could buy a L shirt from Xpress? Pam 14 to 12 is hard esp with the W or no W you are making a big transition once your out of the plus thats it.. you will always be a misses... lol but it takes time.. how about you pull out an old pair of pants and compare the two.. don't disregard the 14 because that's a big accomplishment. Jac ... when ever in your life have you ran 3 miles consecutively? When was the last time you wore a shirt that was a size L or XL and it didn't have a 2 or 3 in front of it.. or jeans that were a size 18... I remember when I bought a pair of 30's of the Avenue and I thought OMG I only have 1 more size to go then I will be a catalog shopping fat lady.. ps I went on a diet the next weekend lol..

But I always hovered in the 26-28 range.. not till I lost a good amount of weight I was in the 24 and thrilled well from a 30 who wouldn't be... then I started to creep back up to them 26's and worse those got tight and I wasn't buying a 28 .. I'm a 16 now.. smell the f'in roses people!!! lol

I'm sharing this with OH because with all the negative stuff out there and the frustration sometimes we feel with the band we forget to really acknowledge our accomplishments. Yes it's hard work .. nobody told me it was going to be easy.. yes something that F'in scale doesn't budge but my pants fit a little better...yes sometimes I make horrible choices for day then regret it .. but I always know there is a reason behind it .. I don't over eat to over eat.. I over eat when something emotional is happening inside .. when I simply don't care I eat a candy bar or some ice cream and move on.. I don't eat 2 or 3 of them.. <---I know have issues and I deal with them and I don't make excuses for them they are what the are and I try and I TRY to be realistic. In this WHOLE weight loss game for me isn't just LOSING weight .. it's really losing it and KEEPING it off.... all the changes to be successful come within .. and with the help of my lovely friends Pam and Jac .. I'm getting there.. I'm successful I am not perfect.

STOP TO SMELL THE ROSES PEOPLE even if you lost 30 pounds or 150 ..

Oh yeah Mamasita! I can smell the roses! You are so right, we have to take time to look at the bright side of every situation. Thanks for the reminder.

I love you too and Im so very grateful that you have crossed my path in life...

You my friend, are very wise and this post says so much about you!  Most of which I already know. :)

To anyone else that reads this...  stop the bickering back and forth on this site ...   everyone is different, and what works for Lis doesnt necessarily work for me, and what works for me, doesnt necessarily work for Pam.. etc.  You get the point... with that being said... your band is YOURS.. nobody elses...   what you choose to do with it is up to you, but down bash others for the decisions they  make.  Focus on yourself and keep this board motivating, and encouraging to the new bandsters that join us...

Take ownership of who you are and how you use your band... most importantly, remain honest with YOURSELF, because if you cant be honest with yourself, itll be a never ending battle.

Much luck and success to everyone! :)

I am one lucky woman to have the two of you in my life! When times are tough we have each other to bounce things off of! Lord knows there are many times we don't agree, but we love & respect each other enough to acknowledge that while it may not work for you, we are encouraged to keep doing what works for us!

While I am the older (and wiser~LOL) of the three of us, there are so many times that the two of you leave me in awe & inspire me to be a better person. I would be lost without our daily check ins!

So to those of you newbies out there, I ask you, how's your accountability buddy?! Who do you call or text to share your joy & sorrows? Who's your support system?! If you don't have someone, I suggest you get one or two or more! Sharing tje journey makes it worthwhile for you both!

I love my Banded *****es for sure!
