OT, I get to meet KathKeb! I'm so excited!

I have a business meeting in Scottsdale this week so I reached out to Kathkeb and asked if she wanted to meet!  She's going to drive 2 hours just to have dinner with me and I'm just thrilled! 

I've been on here and witnessed Kathy's entire WL journey so far and she has been a great inspiration to me!  We both have a no-nonsence approach to working our bands and we connected immediately because of our similar styles and outlook.

I'm posting this not only because I am truly excited to meet Kathy, but to encourage all of you to reach out to people that you click with on this forum, when you travel or especially if they are in your home state.  I've made so many friends by doing this.  I met Elena and Allison R. and others while vacationing in Minneapolis, I met Jean M. on this site and invited her to vacation in WA and stay with me, (and this will be her third visit in July).  I started my own support group by inviting others in this area for coffee and now 8-12 of us meet regularly.

The support is important, the friendships are invaluable!

Give yourself a gift!  Reach out and meet another OH bandster!

My SIL and her family live in Adel, Iowa and we have visited there before.  I will definately make a point to meet you next time we come out there.  I keep forgetting where you live because you don't list your state with your name.  I'll make a note!

I'm meeting Jaclyn from St. Louis in May .. I'm very excited.

OMG, I live maybe 20 minutes from there Lisa!  I guess I need to get my state with my name.  Not sure why I didn't ?  I would love to have you meet my family and of course Graice and Jack!

Wow, if I'd only known then!  You may know of the store called Homemakers?  That's my BIL's family business.  It's actually owned by Warren Buffet's company now, but it's still family run.  We were there 2 years ago for their grand re-opening. 

Now I really want to go back to Iowa!  I can meet you!

Homemaker's is HUGE!  Yes, we have bought furniture from there.

I can't wait until you come to Iowa.  We don't travel much, saving $ for Kyle going off to college this Fall and with Kelsey in college now.

I saw some things about a house on FB but what's the scoop?  Did you buy or are you renting?

I look forward to seeing you more now.  DH's brother and sis live in NW near the racetrack and they know someone that you know.  You will love the two of them, (DH and DSIL).  Very groovy people, right up your alley!

My DS also lives in Beaverton.
