After having the lap band for a little over four months you would think I would not do this but dummy me did it anyways and paying the price for it *sigh*.

I ate steak and eggs for breakfast this morning around 9 am or so .  very good protein around 35 grams just in breakfast.

Between that and me starting my period today and cramping like there is no tomorrow  I was just not hungry at all this afternoon and then my gf called and said there was a huge meat sale going on about 30 min from me.

so around 4 pm I left the house still not hungry went to the store and my son called and asked if he could invite friends over for the night so sure hubby isnt home this weekend anyways.

I pick up pizza and by the time I pick that up its 630 at night okay by now Im starving not hungry but starving since its been since breakfast.

Ate one slice not the crust around it the puppies got that and then I picked off toppings from other slices and ate 2 small pieces of crazy bread *sigh*  And what kills me is I hate Crazy bread !!!!!!!!!

Not all at once mind you this was over 45 min to a hr and drinking water to boot .

Talk about breaking every dang rule today and now Im miserable :o( My own damn fault. Not to the point I hurt though but just a BLAH feeling because my tummy has never ever been this full since I had my surgery jeesh.

Talk about doing extra Zumba tomorrow and water .  Lesson learned do not skip meals !!!!!

Yep -- I think we all do it -- we let ourselves get too hungry and we make choices we regret.

I keep a Luna bar in my purse (and one in my knitting bag) for times like that --- sometimes just a few bites of one will be enough to take the edge off of my hunger (and bring me to my senses).

Sorry you are feeling badly --- but it will probably be a long time before you do this again!

Tomorrow is another day ---

Kath,

That is a great idea I never thought of keeping like a fiber bar in my purse I will do that for sure now.

Nope nope and nope I will not do this for a long time to come lol.  Sometimes it takes these little lessons to remember dont skip meals and you cant eat like you did before .

I think I started to get a little to comfortable and needed to be brought back down to reality . It worked :o)

Zumba and a walk in the park tomorrow need to work off all this off .  Talk about over killing on sodium tonight . Carbs wasnt to bad I was suprised by that after I logged it but sodium yikes !!!

Good morning...hope you feel better today.  Like Kate, I keep a snack in my purse, Atkins Advantage bar...they are pretty much a meal replacement if you eat the whole thing, 17-20 gr protein, and a great snack if you eat half.  I keep it in a zip lock, in case I eat only half.  I also keep two bottles of water in the car, so I can hydrate before I eat my snack.

We've all been there and done that! Don't beat yourself up. Just try to better prepare for next time. I try to keep things in my car/purse like dry roasted 100 cal packs of almonds, baggies portioned out with Kashi dry cereal, protein bars (can't in the summer-they melt), etc.
Just start new tomorrow :)

Baseball season has started in my house, which means I'm going 100 miles an hour from 3pm on.  Late night dinners and sometimes.....gasp, fast food.  I have started keeping Hormel turkey pepperoni sticks in my purse.  I found them at Walmart and they are 50 calories and 6 grams of protein and honestly, it takes the edge off of my hunger.  Sometimes I just end up getting food for my family and I come home and drink a smoothie or last night I got a wrap from McDonalds and just ate the grilled chicken inside (not the best choice but much better than my old fish fillet meal I use to have).  I'm only 7 weeks out, so I know I will have my moments and slips, in fact I ate 3 fries last night.  Its all such a learning experience!!!!

my son dont play baseball but is a varsity football player so I know all about that . My days start like that in Sept through Oct especially Friday nights lol.  Time school gets out there are times we have to leave right then and there for game nights so it will be fast food for me on Friday nights I see alot of salads in my future or Grilled chicken from McDonald's without the bread lol. There is just no way to fix dinner on friday nights on away games we leave at 4 and dont get home sometimes till ater midnight .

I did get on the scales today not to much damage done up a 1.5 but I expected that from the sodium  I can tell my rings are tight on me this morning .

Thank goodness my calories even then didnt go over 1300 last night so that is good and my carbs was only around 70 not shabby for the pizza and crazy bread it could have been alot worse .

Back on track and there is even a box and half of pizza left and I have no desire to eat  it dont even sound good this morning lol.   Gosh just four months ago I would have been eating it for breakfast lol

I know the feeling... I do what Kath does.. I have a luna bar in my bag...
But I do sometimes skip meals because I am not hungry.. My nutritionist says "If you are not hungry, do not eat"..SO if it is lunchtime and i am not hungry I do not eat...When ever I get hungry I eat though..
(and because my BIG issue is Emotional eating...I also eat when I am stressed...etc)  but I try not to eat just cause it is LUNCH time or Diner TIME....  know what I mean?  I ramble sometimes...

mine is total opposite they want us to eat because they are scared we wont get the nutritional needs that we need and plus do something stupid like I did last night lol.

Skipping meals before my band was always a huge problem for me.  I could go all day without eating and then boom eat at dinner but I always over did it at dinner because I was so hungry so eating three meals a day are a big adjustment to me .

Now summer is going to be hard for me. We do alot of camping and I can make anything we have a RV but I just dont eat alot in the summer time . I skip breakfast, lunch and then we dont eat dinner till like around 9 or so at night when it cools down so I really got to work on that lol.
