My Fitness Pal
A fellow mom at baseball practice tonight shared this site with me. I'm new on here so you guys have probably already been made aware of this but I thought I'd share...cool app for smart phones. It keeps track of calories consumed and burned and lets you know what the running total is for the day. You can input your weight and height and goal an it calculates your calorie intake to reach...just another tool to add to your bag of tricks if you are interested! It reminds me of this forum because you can have friends who can make comments on your posts, encourage you, etc. Check it out! Friend request me I am Tia0179.

MFP is the best. I use it everyday. I actually plan my meals out the night before using MFP so I can see what my calories, fat, carbs, and protiens will look like for the next day, and if somehting is off, I can tweak it then. That keeps me from sitting there at the end of the day adding up my totals and realizing I mad a mistake somehwere and took in way too much fat or carbs.
I usually have MFP sitting open in a browser tab on my work PC, so when its time to eat, I just give it a look and know exactly what I am eating without having to think about it or go find somehitng in the cafetria. When I am hungry and I don't know what I am going to eat already, and I have to go find somehting in the cafeteria or whatever, that's when I make bad choices.

I have heard so much of MFP and have checked into it on my phone - it is a good app and the bar code feature is awesome, but it always gives you such a high calorie (allowance) amount per day - how do all of you get around taht...do you just know what you eat every day and work with that? And forget the rest, or is there a way to go in there and "tell it" what you want to eat per day?
