Hi everyone, I am so glad I found this site! I was banded yesterday(28th) I have had virtually no pain but the gas is driving me crazy. Any suggestions besides chewable gas x? Also, during these first couple days is it ok to not wait 60 minutes after eating(gelatin). Thank you

My heating pad helped a bit with the gas -- and walkiing, walking, walking.

As far as the drinking goes, while I was on liquids post-op, I was allowed to drink all day long -- and was encouraged to sip, sip, sip --- 1 ounce per 15 minutes at a minimum (it felt like a part-time job!!!)

Hang in there ---
Kath

The best suggestion for me was walking.  The walking seems to make the gas pain better.  Glad you don't have anything but the gas pain.  I had a little pain and didn't really start feeling better til around day 5 but after that I felt really good.

Welcome to the loser's bench

Pam

Congrats on your surgery :o)  Like the others have said walk walk and walk when you get tired of walking walk some more :o)

Good luck you will be just fine . I was back to normal life within three or four days a little slower but back to doing what I was doing before .
