Ok.. this is probably a silly question...

So the port.  How much do you notice it?  I am a stomach sleeper.  Would it bother me if I'm a stomach sleeper.  LOL.  I may be way off base
Just had my RNY on 7.2.12!!!!  WOOHOO!!!!!

Once you are healed, no problem at all. If you get too thin, then you may be aware of it there if you touch above it and some very athletic people with fabulous abs say it is slightly visible. Mine isn't!

I started being able to feel the outline of mine when I got to under 200lbs if I pressed it, now I can clearly feel it by touch, but only if I want to! When i was too thin, it was very obvious to the touch,

I'm a stomach sleeper and mine doesn't bother me at all. But I tend to sleep on my side now as I do sometimes find I get a bit of reflux if i sleep on my stomach - but that is my digestive tract not my post!

You can get a lower profile port with lapband and I think (may be wrong) the Realize band has a slimmer port.

Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Hi there,

Oh gosh Im such a big time tummy sleeper to lol.  In fact the first 72 hrs I slept in my lazy boy chair so I wouldnt turn over in my sleep and it would hurt lol.

I was back to sleeping on my tummy 7 days out with no problems.  I dont feel it all right now ,but Im also 306 pounds so I might feel it after I get some of this jiggly off my tummy

The only time I ever notice my port is when I do some heavy AB work. I do alot of Zumba and that works the stomach muscles like crazy and then I can feel a twinge of pain here and there .

It's nothing that I have to run and take meds for and it usually works itself back out again.  To be honest I dont know if its the port at all or if its just me using muscles I didnt know I had :o)

I am a stomach sleeper, it doesn't bother me or hurt at all but I am aware it is there.  I am very aware of my band all the time though.  I can feel the tubing brushing the inside of my abdomen.  It doesn't bother me, but I thought I was crazy and asked the doctor and he said yes, that it was possible. You can feel my port very well now, and if I ever have a tummy tuck, I am pretty sure it would be visible.

I have no problems at all sleeping on my stomach.  Since I have started to work out I do a strenuous 90 minutes, six days a week and I never feel a thing.

My port doesn't bother me, but I have lost a lot of weight in my upper torso (still have a big butt lol) and when I try to sleep on my belly I can feel it, so it bothers me.
