getting back on track
So I've been working on getting back to basics after the past 9 months of poor choices and a bad attitude.....I've admitted that I let the injury and being unable to do most exercises also give me the right to eat all the junk I wanted. So I have gone back to logging my caloric intake and being accountable for what I put in my mouth and how much of it. And I have decided that even if I can only manage 10 - 15 minutes at a time on the bike before the pain is too much...that is better than nothing and I can try that a couple times a day if need be. And the most important thing I am doing is paying attention to my band and when it says "ok I'm full now" I stop eating. Sometimes that might mean only a few bites..but that's ok, I can always have a few bites again in a couple hours IF I need it....and on the days when I could eat a whole cow I just fill in the "empty space" with something healthy and low in calories like a salad or raw veggies. So needless to say that with my "new" attitude I have lost 8 pounds since I last weighed myself a week and a half ago......It reminds me that with the lapband it is hard work but also never too late to start again if you happen to fall down along the way.
