Sweet/Chocolate Fix - What Helps You Keep Your Sanity?

I have a HUGE sweet tooth.  I've been trying really hard to avoid the sweets - main reason I cannot lose weight.  I would love to know what you all eat to substitute those cravings?  I have dark chocolate acai berries.  It's great, but still very high in calories - 180 for 1/4 cup.  I would love some ideas other than the typical ice cream substitutes. I used to love ice cream, but I'm not crazy about it anymore.  Weird, I know, but I'm not complaining.

I eat SF chocolate pudding when i get the chocolate craving. Jello makes a low cal chocolate mousse but I didn't really care for it. I love cheesecake. So I eat a lot of sf cheesecake pudding made with skim. And I add whey powder to my pudding to help get in my protein.

I eat greek yogurt + chocolate casein protein powder (38g protein) or I'll make vanilla "ice cream" with my casein and use walden farms sugar free chocolate sauce.

Other times I eat white chocolate wonder peanut butter from PB & Co. Tastes like a reeses cup. I also like the blue diamond almonds (dark chocolate and butter toffee are my favorite)

I either eat the chocolate, just rationed out or you can subsitute chocolate sugar free pudding or I always go for hot chocolate! Satisfying! Try some of the sugar free Davinci or Torani syrups!

Fage greek yogurt(0%) mixed with all types of SF Davinci syrups and then I freeze it.(german chocolate flavored mixed with walnuts and a litte coconut, SF white chocolate with puree strawberries, maybe a little vanilla protein powder with SF vanilla, with blueberries, etc.)  And I prefer to freeze it for about 30-40 minutes.

Makes me think I am eating icecream.  It's pricey but a whole tub is only 240 calories.  And let me be honest, how much did I spend on real icecream!

I only crave chocolate when its that time of the month other then that it can sit here at my house all day and I dont touch it . I got M&M's sitting in a bowl on my puter desk and they have been sitting there for six weeks.

But when it does come to that time when I do crave them sweets I just go and get me a small candy bar.  I have learned if I dont get what I want or craving at the time I end up eating everything else to see if it helps make that craving go away .  I end up eating tens times as much if I just went and got what I wanted in the first place .

I have tried and tried to use substitutes and it just dont work for me.  Wi**** would but it dont :o(

Two squares of 70-80% cocoa dark chocolate; stick small piece to roof of mouth and allow to dissolve slowly.

Or fruit yoghourts.

What Kate said.  If I want chocolate, I have some chocolate.  But something GOOD.  None of this Hershey bar nonsense.  I have a good quality delicious square of very dark organic and all-natual chocolate.  I like the ones with chili pepper or sea salt best...  And I've found that if I enjoy that square and savor each bite, I'm good and I don't feel like I've done a number on myself.  Besides which, I've also not pumped myself full of unnecessary additives and chemicals by substituting some sort of "diet" or "healthy" food in place of what I actually want.

But when I'm wanting something really sugary sweet, I go for a peach every time.  Peaches are like candy to me.  Peaches, oranges, and (when they're in season) Honeycrisp apples.  A handful of raspberries or some almost overripe strawberries also really do it for me.

If I want chocolate... I have chocolate...   most often, its a Reese peanut butter cup.  If its not a peanut butter cup, I'll have a few Hershey's minis...

I usually eat 2-3 Hershey's minis, or Dove promises per day.    YES... per day.

By eating the 100 calories of minis....  I stay away from the vending machine, where I'll more than likely grab a 300 calorie Snickers bar.  In the end, this works for me.
