Wendy, where are you? Here, at least, the snow backed off and didn't amount to anything.

I know should be grateful to have a job, but dang it. Its either feast or famine. I've been cancelled for 3 shifts so far this week and its only Wednesday! How the hell am I going to pay bills without being able to work?

Let me start off by saying I love my niece dearly! She had a very traumatic year last year when her daughter was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease at age 12. That being said, she is divorced from her three children's father and has been for several years. They were married for 13 years and she never held a job the entire time. Her husband is a union electrician. Upon her divorce she lived off of his child support payments. Well jobs are in short supply in Chicago at the moment and he wasn't able to make his normal payments to her, so she was behind on her rent payments and got evicted! Instead of getting off her butt to even get a part time job, she wants everyone to write glowing letters for her to some agency that is going to give her assistance. I'm just fuming because here we have people who have worked and paid into the system and may be losing their unemployment and I have a niece who's never gotten off of her butt to work period! I'm tired of the whoo is me attitude! Yes, your daughter had cancer, yes it was traumatic, but let's look at the bright side for once! Your community had an enormous fund raiser and that money paid all the medical bills that your ex-husband's insurance didn't cover. A local gas station gave you an unlimited free gas card to put gas in your SUV to take your daughter back and forth to treatments. You stayed at Ronald McDonald house for free when your daughter had treatment. Best of all your daughter just got a clean bill of health! I just want to grab her by the throat and tell her to put on her big girl panties and grow the frick up already! And she is shocked that all three of her children announced that they want to live with their dad & step mother! Really, you are shocked!?

Secondly I've had this on & off headache and achiness at the back of my head for over a week! I'm not happy about it because the last time this happened was when my ovarian cancer came out of remission. I'm pretty sure it isn't that because I just had blood work & an MRI recently and all looked well. But it is annoying all the same. Nothing is helping! I broke down and called my bariatric surgeon yesterday and begged to be able to take two Aleeve! It worked but the damn headache is back this afternoon.

Third, crazy crazy weather! Sick of it! We've been having some amazing days in St. Louis with temps all the way up to 80! Yes, ceiling fans were on full speed at my house yesterday. And tonight we are supposed to dip into the 30's. I turned my heat off dang it and I really don't want to turn it back on tonight! URG!

And lastly, GAS PRICES! I drive over an hour to work (no complaining~didn't work for a year and blessed to have this job) but gassing up twice a week is killing my budget! I took a huge cut in pay for this job and I'm down to lean & mean at home. I have no extras except my cellphone which is in place of my home phone. So really, I'm living lean and mean here already. I live in Illinois and wait to gas up in Missouri because once you cross the Mississippi it is 20-25 cents cheaper! I say, lets have the same prices across the board in this country!

Here is praying that I win either the Mega Millions or the Powerball this week!

Pam, I've heard of a LOT of people complaining about headaches lately, myself included. It makes me wonder what's going on. I hope you feel better soon.

We're getting hail and snow and rain all mixed together, too. It's unpleasant, to say the least! I'm ready for springtime. It's my own fault... I put my snow boots away the other day... I even said, "Buh bye, won't be needing YOU anymore!"  Dang it!

I'm wondering if it is a barimetric pressure thing with the tremendous change in temps lately!

What really grinds my gears are co-workers and family members *****ally try to ignore your weight loss and physically cringe when they overhear someone else comment on your weight loss. I mean....what the heck!!!
