Had to have an unfill

I currently have a severe sinus infection and went in today to have an unfill (2 cc) out due to the problems that i have had keeping food down since this sinus infection started.....couldn't even keep the antibiotics down.  Has anyone else experienced this "swelling" of the stomach along with a sinus infection.  My doctor says that it is not uncommon but I think that it is just WEIRD! 

YES!  This exact thing happened to me when I was 5 months out.  I had an ugly sinus infection and after about 2 weeks, I had a hard time getting liquids down even (unless they were hot like tea, but that was IT.)  I had a complete unfill and it worked great actually (although I hated that!).  I was able to finally get down and digest the antibiotics for once and so they were able to go to work for me.  Within 2 weeks I was 100% better and healed, so I resumed with fills again.  I bet you will feel much better with the unfill.  Good luck!

Yes, illnesses and allergies often have this effect.

In my own case, when I get a cold, i am not sure it is swelling though - I think it is that mucus in the form of post-nasal drip simply fills the pouch just as food would!

There is one other thing, if anti-bios dissolve above the band, tney can cause irritation and therefore make matters worse. We don't always realise they are dissolving above the band and so an unfill may be help with the anti-bios as well! (You may have been taking liquids anyway so that won't apply!)

Well, I just went through the same thing except I got a pill hung up I believe from the phlemb and swelling!  I had to go in for a partial unfill today.  I hope I have better luck with my medicine from now on!
