Found what was causing my problems. Had emergency surgury today

For the past almost 2 months I have been having pain b/t my breasts especially when I would lay down on the left side. The past 10 days I have not been able to get solid food down. After protonix and carafate I called my doc this morning and he tld me to come into the e.r. He did exploratory surgury and found I had severe adheasons that wrapped around my stomach and was constricting my g i tract. He fixed it and said I should be feeling alot better in a few days.I was so relieved that he could fix it and not have to remove my band!!!I was worried my body was rejecting it. anyway I have not heard fo this happening and was wondering if any of you ever heard about this. I also didn.t get a chance to tal to him befoer I left and was wondering what are the chances of these adheasions coming back.?

I don't have a single answer for you, but I'm so thankful they figured it out and were able to fix you up. I hope you heal quickly and can get back on the bandwagon after this setback.

I have no answers for yu either.But I am happy they got to the bottom of it and were able to fixit. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I'm not sure if you can get adhesions from any surgery, but I got them about 6 years after my Appendectomy.  Mine wrapped around my lower intestion and fallopian tube.

Some people develop adhesions and scar tissue more than others.  Surgical protocol can minimize them (keeping tissues moist during surgery...tissues exposed to air for prolonged time tend to develop more adhesions), but most people will have some with any surgery,
