You can find information and instructions about this at www.5daypouchtest.com

It's designed more for RNY patients, but the diet itself can serve to kind of "detox" a person from bad eating habits.  I did this a couple of weeks ago and it helped me quite a bit.

As Melly says - meant for RnY people but some bandsters use it to get themselves back on track. For me, going back to liquids seems pointless - I would rather just get back to eating bandster style! But one thing i have learned over 5 years is that different people find different things effective and there is no right or wrong way!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

As the other posters indicated, it was originally created for RNY patients, but I have successfully done the program a couple of times in the past for a jump start to seriously curb my sugar/carb cravings.  GAWD does it ever work for me! I do recommend it for that reason alone (weight loss is an added bonus). :)
