Five Weeks Post-Op
HELP!
First, I'm 23 and I suck at cooking. I'm also five weeks post-op and I've been having my mom help me with meals since my surgery. Now, however, my mom's out of town and I need some ideas of foods and easy recipes I can use this week!
Also, maybe some words of encouragement since my big supporter isn't here with me.

First off just remember we are here to help!! the main thing you need to focus on is the protien. always try to get in as much as you can. i am not one for cooking much either but tuna is my friend. that and eggs any way you can. maybe some one can get you some advice on cooking when we night owl**** the sack. have fun and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yah.. Fish is my favorite to make and i have no problems with it. Great protein too.
Tuna salad is great.
I usually get a nice salmon filet. 1 lb filet will get 3 cuts.
Cut it into 4oz strips..precooked. Will get to about 3.5 oz after cooked.
Salt, pepper and paprika.... Pan sear each side for about 5 minutes and done.
Try and see if your market carries Buckwheat. Its a great replacement for rice and potatoes. Really good and soft too...If not, look online.
Simmer 1cup of it with 2 cups chicken stock for 20 min. Its great. 12g protein and very low carbs. 1 cup cooked will get 3 or more servings.
You can get 3 meals out of each of these. I usually make this at the beginning of the week and thats 3 meals down.
Egg omelette with a slice of FF cheese is good and quick...
meatballs are great too
1 lb chopped meat, 1 egg, 1/4 grated parmesan cheese, 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, a little salt, pepper, garlic powder.
roll em up.. bake em on a cookie sheet for about 20 min... finished.
fill in a protein shake during the day and you're good to go.
