MuchTighter Band during Menstrual Cycle

Every month, a few days prior and during my cycle, my band gets really tight. I bloat really bad and then it goes away. My Dr. removed .5cc to make me more comfortable since I was having pain and couldn't eat solids. This has helped me tremendously during my bloated period, but I'm having a hard time adjusting to being able to eat more, if I'm not careful, whenever I'm not bloated. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how did you deal with it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Had the same issue. I would mark it on my cal and then try to eat softer foods during that time. That seemed to help me a great deal :)  While its not good to use them as replacements long term on the really hard days I would use more shakes or even the protein shots to get the nutrition in. :) Hope things go well for you,

Yup same thing with me - I just do protein shakes for 2 days.  Not worth the fluid removal for me.  Plus you're sure not to gain any weight with carb eating!

I've been at perfect restriction for about 18 months and yes, my band is tight for 2 days or so out of the month.  I will adjust my diet for those 2 days accordingly (even protein shakes on the tighter months, egg drop soup, thinned out greek yogurt) but I do not get a fill as I am at my sweet spot the other 28 days and that is where I need to be to maintain my weight.  I did once go for an unfill for that exact reason in the beginning, but soon learned it was not worth it when I can eat SO much more after that couple of days is overwith, which was too frustrating for me.  I am happy as a clam doing it this way.  Your miles may vary.  Good luck!
