Yes - on my shoulder blades - Chinese Symbols for Strength and Perseverance
I uploaded to my photos - check them out. They look blurry because the pic was taken right after it was done so the ink was smudgy.

When I hit the 100 pound mark, I'm going to get a tattoo of a design I drew on the inside of my left wrist.  It's a drawing of a phoenix with a lotus flower coming up out of the spread wings.  It's a symbol of new beginnings and rebirth and if its on the inside of my wrist, I will see if every single day and be reminded of how hard I've worked, what I've accomplished and most importantly, to never go back there again.  I'm so excited, I can't stand it.

I f you wanted to try a couple of ideas out, I actually found a website that will make temporary tattoos of any design.  I was playing around with a couple of versions of the phoenix and lotus and wanted to see which one I liked best and which one looked the best on my wrist.  It's called Stray Tats and the prices are REALLY reasonable.  You can upload your artwork and I had my temporary tattoos in like 3 days.

Sure, temporary tattoos are kind of lame but this is going to be permanent, I want to be certain of exactly what I want, you know?  I'm considering it research.

I got my celebatory tattoo the day I was approved for surgery.  I knew this day was the start of my whole new life.  I have a butterfly with a trail of dashes to symbolize the butterfly in flight.   I choose to put mine in a spot where I see it every time I get out of the shower.  It is over my breast  about half way to my sholder, so it is easily hidden by a shirt strap when needed.  To me this was perfect becuase it symbolizes taking this gift and taking off to a new life.
