I would be hesitant to get a tattoo on any part of your body that will have lots extra skin...which with me doesn't leave many possibilties.  I have lots of droopy skin on my tummy, thighs, boobs, butt, and arms.  The only place that a tattoo would like nice on me at this point is my shoulder blade, shoulder, lower back and calf.  I would say wait till most of your weight is lost before you get a tattoo...so you can see where your extra skin will be.  Because I can tell you if I got a tatto any where near where there is droopiness the tattoo would look all distorted and stretched out...kind like Silly Putty...hahahah

Wouln't it be funny to tatoo stitches or zippers on all the flabs. Or better yet,,staples to make it look like it the flab is tagged to the skin  or something low key like this..

I got a tattoo before my surgery on my wrist of an ambigram of the word HOPE.  I think it's pretty self-explanatory, although it is not specifically regarding my surgery.

The link didn't work.  Can you explain what it's about?

Its a tattoo on this guy's leg of a lap band around the stomach...looks just like the model you see in the doctor's office and its a thank you to the surgeon.

If somebody can teach me how to put a picture here instead of a link, I'll give it a try.

I haven't gotten it yet (might in a month or two)  and I know it's kind of cheesy, but I want to get Heimlich from "A Bug's Life" tattooed on my right shoulder. He's been my mascot throughout my journey to surgery and I think it would be cute.

Here's who I'm talking about: www.allstarpics.net/0612159/014503354/a-bugs-life-pic.html
