Half bottle of water? holy cow I would never be able to fit that in downing it. haha. Your band is still empty isn't it?
Yeap my band is still empty . My doc isnt going to be very happy with me this month though I havent lost a single pound well I have 2 pounds but I keep going back and forth from 309 to 307 *sigh* Im so frustrated right now its not funny .
I wish a fill was a simple solution for me. I called hubby today in tears because of the scales. And told him I wish I was hungry every 2 hrs, or a cup of food dont keep me full and then maybe it would help with this stall Im going through but that isnt the case :o(
Im still going 3-6 hrs without getting hungry right now I wish I was getting hungry . and Im working my ass off doing Zumba and nothing
well thats why you got the band.. get that fill and and 1/2 cup of food will keep you full for 4 hours!! Thats where I am now and am finally losing weight. Sounds like you have just been dieting and not fully using the band to help out, thats great if I could do that I wouldn't have had this thing lol.
I was so afraid that last fill of mine on Monday was too much. Turns out I just swelled from it and so far now its perfect. I can eat 4 oz of yogurt for breakfast and not think about food again until lunch 4 hours later and then eat one of them little pre-made tuna salad things with crackers. I eat again at dinner and have a have a small plate full but am full after about 1/2 cup total. I have to make myself eat half an apple or something in between. I love it. I had this last fill on Monday and have already lost almost 3 lbs. Which is fine because I haven't been losing much before this. I love this band now. Its taught me how to really be careful and if I don't chew little pencil eraser bites, then I have problems.
Your going great!!.. I really need to start exercising more.

well like the doc said and some others because Im going three to four hrs without food and I get a fill that will make me to tight and my doc does not think its healthy just to eat a 1/2 cup of food per meal he wants a full cup .
There is no way I would go down to a half of a cup of food because right now Im only getting anywhere from 700-1000 calories per day on a whole cup of food 3 times a day and to go any lower I think that is just makign calories way to low and not healthy .
But that is how my doc feels about things though . And I dont feel like Im dieting Im still going 3-5 hrs without being hungry and that is what the band is suppose to do so I dont know what I will do .I will talk to him about it next week when I go see him ,but if I go get a fill going this long without feeling hungry I will be to the point of to much restriction and I think that is just as bad as not having enough *sigh*. And to be honest I dont want that kind of restriction . I have seen it and heard it from support group people and no thanks I dont want to live like that .
Hopefully he will have some advice for me , but I know my doc if I can go this long without feeling hungry he isnt going to give me fill .

My surgeon will ask if you are drinking fluids and taking in mushie food okay first. If you are having issues with either of those, you may need an unfill. If it is just dense protein you are having issues with, I suggest you cut your food up in smaller portions. Perhaps get some toddler spoon and forks to use so you remember how small of pieces you can tolerate. Chew your food to a consistency of paste. After you swallow that bite, count to 50 prior to taking another bite. If you still have problems after you try all of these tactics, I suggest you go bet some fluids taken out. A fill as small as .2 cc can make a huge difference.\
Good Luck!

Stuck where I have to 'pb' and have food come back up is about once every few months.
I take a 'rest day' for about 24 hours after that happens. If I don't do that, I have additional 'stuck' episodes.
Are you going back to liquids after this happens to let the 'trauma' of the episode heal?
If not -- you might try that to break the cycle --- if you are resting, and this keeps happening, you should talk to your surgeon about a little unfill
