Effects of stress on your band?

Does anyone know if stress can make your lap-band feel tighter?  I have had my band for over 4 years, last fill 3 months ago, which felt fine until recently when my stress level increased due to issues at work.  I have not been hungry much at all and when I try to eat or drink, it seems like everything is going through my band very slowly.  I am not PB'ing much but not eating much either.  When I drink anything I have small air burps constantly.  I was doing fine with my fill until about a month ago and the only thing I can see that has changed is my stress level.
Any feedback?

YES, stress always makes my band tighter. It's such a pain, every single time I go on vacation, it happens, who knew vacation=stress for me? I've even had to go in for a slight un-fill after having to sell my Mom's house after she passed away and all that went with it. I hope it gets better for you soon.

Yes, my band feels tighter when I'm stressed out...which is good, because I'm more apt to overeat when I'm stressed.

My band is like a vice when I am stressed. all I can do is breathing exercises, visualization of it easing up, and waiting.

Yes. In fact if you look back just a few hours, someone else posted the exact same question.

I get tight from any sort of strong emotion.

Worry
Nervous anticipation
Happy anticipation
Anxiety
Anger
Fear

BUT for some reason it is not uncommon for long -term bandsters to get inexplicably a bit tighter. It happened to me at just under 4 years out and I had to have a tiny unfill. My doc said it has happened with several of his patients and he doesn't know why. When I posted about it on here, several other vets came back and said it had happened to them. There was no obviosu reason in my case, I wasn't stressed, ill or anything else! And it only got a little bit tighter, not enoug to make life difficult, just a bit tighter than I like.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Stress is not a good thing for me to feel when I am getting ready for a meal.  For some reason, my band seems to get very tight if I am up tight and food just won't go down.  I have learned to just put my plate in the fridge and try again later, rather than having a pb episode from the stress.

Stress does tighten up the lapband!  Often, when with company during a meal and I anticipate that I may not be able to keep my food down, my lapband does in fact tighten and I am not able to keep my food down.  I often end up taking my food home and find whomever I am with puzzled as to why I hardly touched my food and/or why I went to the bathroom twice in quick succession which makes me even more stressed.  When I eat the same food at home in private, I am able to down the whole thing with no problem!  The head does strange things to the band!  So -- to reiterate -- when I anticipate that I might have a problem eating (usually with company), I do usually end up having a problem.  It's very rare that I do not have a problem when eating with other people.  I tend to eat best when by myself, when I do not have the fear of not being able to keep my food down and getting people curious.
