And...sip, sip, sip! Stay hydrated. It gets the anesthesia out of your system faster. Use the breathing gadget that the hospital sent you home with. Do it every couple of hours. It helps....Congrats, you're on your way!!!

Congrats! In addition to walking and sipping, try a heating pad. It will get better, I promise. Glad to have you join us on the losers bench.

That first day/night at home is a kicker.  Take your medicine around the clock according to directions, move as much as you can and keep hydrated.  You will start feeling a little better each day.

I felt the same way right after the surgery, like i was run over by a truck.
Hang in there. I had the doc give me a stronger pain med, and i only used it for a day so it does get better slowly each day.
Congrats on your surgery!!!

I totally understand how you feel! I am two days out as well, and I still feel like I was run over by a school bus.  I'm still trickling in the liquids but I'm finding I am filling up really fast. I was given a RX for lortab, but it's not really doing anything but making me a zombie for a few hours. Monday is going to stink when I go back to school!

Keep your chin up, though. We'll get through this together.

I will conquer this mountain, one rock at a time.
