Stress and band?

I'm a month out and I received a letter in the mail today from my insurance about a Gall Bladder surgery I had to have not being medically necissary??? I've had lots of problems lately with insurance and I got very upset and started crying and had a bit of a mini nervous breakdown. Well when I finally calmed down I tried to take a drink of water and it came right back up and I waited and tried again same thing. Well after a couple of hours I choked up a bit of fluid and was able to drink. When you stress out can it make your band tighten?? I have had no fill yet so it's an empty band but I have always had a bit of restriction.
Thanks for any answers

Lots of things affect my band...stress being a big one, time of month is another, and even the time of day. :) Hang in there ;)
I am a work in progress...perhaps never completed or perfected; but forever working to change for the better...

yes stress can make your band tigher, the time of the month can make your band tighter also.

And you are probably adding more stress to yourself by getting upset about not drinking water.

Just relax , take a nice warm bath relax and you will be fine .   :o)

Simple answer - yes!

My band tightens from any strong emotion - anxiety, anger, nerves, excitement, happy anticipation!

Yes..excitement gets my band tight.  Everytime I go to visit my daughter I have troubles eating.  Also when I went out with a friend I had trouble eating something I have no problems eating any other time.

I agree with Kate. A range of emotions can tighten me up majorly! When that happens, stick to hot liquids and give it time!

As far as the insurance company goes, fight it! You have to remember that it is just some person who is sitting there going by a list coding these things. See if your doctor can code it another way. When I talk to insurance, they usually tell me, "oh if they would have coded it this way, it wouldn't have been a problem." So I usually call my doctors office and relay the information and have them rebill it.

Yes, stress and a mirad of other things will affect tightness.

I had the same thing happen with insurance when I had my hysterectomy.  They said it didn't require an overnight stay!  Well, my dr. didn't give me that option so what was I supposed to do, decline my surgeon's recommendation and go home?  I called my surgeon's office and they took care of it pronto!

Hang in there, I know it's frustrating!

Thanks all. I guess the problem with the insurance is that I went to the closest ER but my Dr didn't practice there so I had to go home and go to another hospital for surgery. I guess they don't understand why a Dr who wasn't going to operate on me would still admit me and give me pain meds, hydrate me, and give me medications for my failing liver?? But I'll fight it I've decided they are paying it and that is that!!
