19 days po and pain last night
Shrimp is not a soft food. Your doctor or nutritionist should have given you a list of food for each phase of your post-op diet...
examples:
Yogurt
SF pudding
mashed potato
refried beans (mashed) with salsa, lf sour cream and a bit of melted cheese
Pureed soups
cottage cheese
soft boiled or poached eggs
cream of wheat with milk added to thin out (or oatmeal)
applesauce
You should probably go back on liquids for a day or so and then try again, but no shrimp or any other solid meat.
Hope you feel better!

BTW...I meant "noticable" not "notcible"
The doc did give me a list of "clear" liquids, "full" liquids, and then a stage he called "mushy/pureed" but then my calendar moves on to "soft foods" with no examples of what is soft??? So just to be safe today I've returned to eating runny oatmeal, peanut butter & banana, yogurt...that sort of stuff.
Thanks for the advice!
