Has anyone had a knee replacement & then lost weight??

I had a knee replacement 8 yrs ago due to Athritis, and now I've lost weight its really painful & swollen. It also seems to get stuck & restricts my movements.  I was just wondering if it could possibly be due to my knee changing shape with the weight loss. Or if it's just wearing out maybe?? I don't suppose anyone has had a similar problem?

I am losing so I can have my knee replaced...it sounds like you need to give your knee doc a call to find out what is going on...good luck!

Thanks for the reply!  I've just seen the Doctor...got to have an xray. She said they only really last around 10 yrs so it might need doing again. You are doing it the right way round! lol
 This is my main reason for weight loss...to help my joints.

I had both replaced before WLS mine seem to be doing fine.  I would go see the Dr.

So odd to have another regular Brit poster!! A few have popped up on here in the past, but never enough to be called "regular"!

We can talk in stones, and UK dress and shoe sizes, and forget "cups"!! And discuss fizzy drinks and English chips and crisps!!
