Perhaps you should find smarter friends, those that know how to use the block feature.  It's not difficult, perhaps their 4 year old grandson's could teach them.

Including myself, I have 3 friends who've been helped by WasaBubbleButt, so I guess it evens out?

Why are your friends so powerless? I'd never let any one person drive me out of anywhere I wanted to be.

I never understood this either! The truth hurts sometimes. This kind of reminds me of a little kid who doesn't get everything their way so them they want to take their llittle red ball and go home, lol.

OH is a great resource. You take the best and leave the rest. They will never find a forum where everyone agrees with them, lol.

"Support" comes in many forms. "Support" doesn't mean telling ppl what they want to hear! Btw............where has my support been on this forum???

do you really want support from this forum or to take jabs when the mood strikes ?

i have no skin in this game, but - i'll go out on a limb and suggest that predicting failure in newly banded patients, is probably not going to win you favors.    and that might just be fine with you - but you can't come back in and question where your support is, after such predictions.

your isolating yourself because you feel cheated (which is an appropriate feeling, in your band experience) - yet your not providing serious thought or sensitivity into your responses ... your all emotion.

the band forum over the last yr has improved greatly for those with problems / complications - failure to lose, etc - - - i think your making your own experience ****ty & it's a shame because you do provide some good information.

I only take jabs when I am jabbed first. Wrong? Maybe but I see no reason to let someone jab me and not return the favor.

The comment I made to Renee was sincere. She is doing well with her band now and for that I am thrilled. I honestly hope it continues. Will it? I don't know. If it doesn't though...........I hope she is not blamed for it!

As far as support, yes I would have liked some. I have received tons of support from other WLS'ers. Bandsters..........not so much! Before I got so "vocal" about how the band can be..............I would post about getting more fills and still no sweet spot. What would I get back? Just follow the band rules (I was)......maybe your not doing this............u must not be doing that.........etc. It always came back to them wanting to blame ME for the band failure! Very insulting and NOT supportive! So while I do think newbies have support............I also feel that those pre-op should know what the band can really be like so they don't potentially get suck with a band that doesn't work also! If they know this info and choose to get the band t hen, so be it. My conscious is clear. Also it it is very important that ppl hear stories like this b/c I get PM's all the time from ppl saying they thought they were the only ones having these problems. They don't speak up on the band forum b/c they see how others are attacked on here. Very sad that ALL bandsters are not able to get the support they need on here!

Maria...

Maybe the time has come that it's time to suck it up, take out a loan, and get your revision.  You keep pouring money into this band with constant fills and such, you could be putting that money towards a revision.  Get your surgery and move on with your weight loss journey.

You are about as happy with your band as I was with mine.  So instead of pouring more money into it, just get your revision.
