WOW Moment
While we were in the store, I waited while she went through rack after rack. I happen to see this cute dress - white with pretty spring flowers on it with a lavender short sweater over it. Out of sheer boredom I thought I would try it on, seeing as how Kerri's search for the perfect top was nowhere near complete. I had no intention of buying this dress, not only because I won’t be able to wear it for very long since I’m planning on losing more weight, but also because it’s not black or another dark color. For crying out loud, it’s white. I can’t wear white!!!
As I grabbed the dress, I thought, "I should probably take a size 22 (I'm usually either a 24 or more). I went into the fitting room, tried on the dress and it fit. "Cool," I thought. Thinking it might be a good dress for Easter and it was cheap, I told Kerri maybe I should buy the dress in a 20, since it's over a month away and I'm PLANNING on losing more weight by then. So, without trying it on (going on faith), I bought the size 20 dress and took it home. It dawned on me that maybe I should try it on and see just how tight it is and how far I have to go to fit into this size 20. So I tried it on and much to my surprise, it fit!!! Who knew...?
So then I thought, if a 20 fits me, I should probably go back and get a size 18. I won't even be able to get it on me, but that's today. So I went back and exchanged the dress for the smaller size and brought it home once again. Later in the day, I was curious to see if I could even get the dress on. Well, lo and behold, I not only got it on, but it was just slightly snug! I've worn dresses to events that were tighter than this!!!
So, that's my "wow" moment that I wanted to share. Sorry if this was long. Hope to have many more of these moments...
