I like these about 2 hrs before I work out.

I would not replace a high protein meal with these - but if you are getting adequate cardio, nothing wrong with adding 1 of these in every once in a while.

Yeah if I eat something that's not high protein I try to have a protein drink after.

I agree Leslee,  . Everybody has to remember that it jsut wasnt carbs that got us fat. What got us fat was sitting down and eating a whole pizza,  or 24 oz steak,  not controlling our portions that is what got us overweight .

I eat everything in moderation . When you workout , eat three balanced meals there is nothing wrong with eating one these.

Very easy to over eat! :-( I have switched to using a salad plate or small bowl instead of my regular dinner plates. That way even if I do fill it up.......much smaller portion!

I have started doing that now (preop) to try to cut back my portion sizes on my own, and it is helpful.  I honestly do feel full from a smaller amount.  Not even close to being 1 cup of food, but Im not banded yet so that will help alot when I am.  Still find myself looking for more food later though and Im trying to stop myself.  It will be easier when hubby is back home, he will make sure there are no leftovers for me to seek out.  Hubby is military and is basically a garbage disposal with boots and it doesn't show at all on him.  I think I gain weight jus****ching him eat LoL j/k    grrrr at hubby hahaha!

I prefer the banana nut or chocolate. I do cut them in 4, and eat only one section at a sitting, and I can go a week or so before I have another one. I have to eat it in such small bites that it takes me 15 minutes or more to eat 1 tiny piece.

Pumpkin and apple crumb are the only one I have tried, but I got a variety pack. Will be trying the others in the next few wks. There's even a low cal brownie in there!

After Bette's first post I went to Target and bought every flavor they had and the brownies too. They are all awesome. Even though they have quite a few carbs they are loaded with vitamins and fiber which I think balances out the carb concern. I'm with you Maria, I like the pumpkin and the apple spice the best so far but I haven't gotten in to the chocolate ones or the corn yet. The brownies are to die for. I think I will go heat one up right now and throw some Cool Whip Free on....YUM
