a cup of food
1/2 cup of protein already cut up on how you are going to eat
1/4 cup of veggies
1/4 cup of veggie or carb your choice .
Also salads for some reason dont stick with me they never did before I got banded and salads help me go to the bathroom .
So what I will do is eat a salad about a hr or so more before my dinner and then eat my dinner. That way Im just starting to get hungry again plus like I said it helps me to stay regular :o) I do not put any protein in my salad though just a little *****eese but no meats .
he is so strict with that if you cant eat a cup of food he will take fluid out of you .
It is weird how each doc is different .
gosh so if you only get 4oz each meal then you dont get nothing but protein then ? Because when I weight out 4 oz by cups that equals exactly about 1/2 cup of protein which is about 20-30 grams depends on what you are eating.
If that is alll your allowed to have I would be hungry all the time lol.
Gosh dont you get bored just eating protein then ? I would be straying big time if that was me lol.

My Dr says 2-3 of protein and then the rest in veggie or fruit. What this equals to is 1 large egg 1-2 strawberries, 3 meatballs 2 oz of veggies, etc. I don't really follow it so close anymore. I still use those small glass ramekin bowls to put my food in. So now a typical meal is 1 egg, 1/2 slice turkey bacon, 1/2 slice whole grain bread, this keeps me full very long. I had cantaloupe for a snack last night, not supposed to eat snacks. I have a small can of tuna salad for lunch. Etc. My Dr says our pouch's are supposed to only hold 4 oz. Before I started getting fills I used to say jokingly that my Dr was starving the weight off, LOL My band is a little looser now, I get stressed easy and then it would get too tight a lot. I have around 5.5 cc in my 10 cc band. I had a homemade chicken, black bean taco last night with avocado and lettuce, it was so good. When I eat veggies or fruit I only have room for a small amount like 1/2 banana or 2-3 spears of asparagus. Like you said not too much room left.
I agree every Dr has different rules. I know a lot of people are either eating 1/2 cup or 1 cup. The best part is I am actually full for hours if I eat dense protein. I've found a lot of good recipes, white chicken chili, I made turkey Parmesan with eggplant the other day.

I guess when people say four oz it just dont seem alot but like you it will keep you full for hrs .
I can eat one of them Kellog's Fiber bars that has 10 grams of fiber in it and I can stay full for a good three to 4hrs. not as long as if I would eat protein in the range of 20 plus.
I have to go see my doc in a few weeks and Im actually kinda worried this trip around *sigh*.
Im not eating more, Im still staying full for a good three to five hrs at a time but I have taken a major nose dive on weight loss so far this month.
Im halfway through my four weeks and usually have a good four to five pounds off me by now and I only have two.
What Im worried about is he going to insist giving me a fill maybe not so much him but his dang nurse .
So, Im hoping I can get at least another 5 pounds off me by the 28th of this month *sigh*.
I think Im just stalling I have lost alot of weight in 3 months almost 42 pounds so maybe its just me slowing down some right now .

I agree. Sometimes our bodies go through a stall, I believe it's a survival mechanism. Or maybe you've gained muscle. Are your clothes feeling looser?
I don't believe in our Dr's/nurses insisting on fills or not getting fills, I understand suggesting. But the bands are in us, we should have our say.

And the pants was loose not enough to go down another size, but they are not sticking to me like glue either I was so happy today I havent been down in those sizes gosh for so long now :o)
Jeans though I still cant get down to the next size lol. My 26/s now are so bagging on me and I can pull them down without unzipping them lol but when I try to go down to 22/24's they are still a tad bit to tight on me and I dont like wearing tight clothes not out in public lol.
