HELP letter of appeal

hello is there anyone who has written a latter of appeal to tricare regarding denial of the lapband?  or has any idea on how to go long doing it?

I haven't done it but I am very curious to see the responses.  I am going thru tricare as well, did they give you a reason as to why they said no?  I have been referred to bariatrics on base but I haven't had any of the sleep studies or other testing involved yet.  Did they refuse the referral from your doc or have you had any of the testing done yet?  Sorry so many questions, with all of the budget cuts I was told by a friend this could be one they decide to make with military families.  I don't know where she got her info from though so I wouldn't call it a completely reliable source until confirmed.

 they denied the refrral from the doctor, they said i didnt meet the standers, which i havent had any test done.  so i requested to have a sleep study done and made an appointment with my pmc talk about it and helping with the letter of appeal.  all i can do is hope for the best
