Poll-Who still has their original band and port??

No! Port replaced at 6 months. Port was defective but I still had to pay for surgery and a new port. 18 months out.

Yes to band 12-22-09, port replaced 3-4-10 due to manufacture's defect. (found early during 1st fill in 2/2010 under fluro)

So 31 yes's to both port and band being original equipment

5 nos + 2 nos (both had port only replaced because it was defective at the time it was placed)

one port flip (fixed and used the same port)

one repositioning for cosmetic purposes

Bette's trade in

abstain(though we pretty much know the answer is yes)

42 total bands
Reoperation rate = 26% overall (2 bands replaced  2/42=4.7%) 2 unnecessary (cosmetic), the rest port replacement which is minor surgery; local anesthetic.
